Learning Support Information
The Learning Support Program at SGS provides a Christ-centered, high-quality academic education within the Catholic school environment for students with diagnosed learning disabilities and/or a 504 Plan.
The Learning Support Program enhances the educational experience for all students by ensuring instruction is accommodated to individual needs. Accurate records, Instructional Support Plans, and targeted interventions help teachers provide personalized guidance, while ongoing professional development equips faculty to differentiate instruction effectively. Collaboration between teachers, specialists, and families fosters a supportive and inclusive environment, promoting confidence, social-emotional development, and academic growth for every student.
The LSP serves elementary students with identified learning needs and operates in collaboration with the school’s Instructional Support Team, which includes the Principal, Learning Support Coordinator, and MCIU counselor. Together with classroom teachers and parents, the team develops strategies and interventions tailored to each student’s needs.
The LSP is designed to ensure that each student receives the resources and guidance necessary to succeed academically while fostering their personal and spiritual growth.
